AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TECHNOLOGY

 

AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TECHNOLOGY prepare the students of the tasks required to ensure the continuing airworthiness of an aircraft or aircraft part, including overhaul, inspection, replacement, defect rectification, and the embodiment of modifications, compliance with airworthiness directives and repair.

 

A graduate of this course can qualify to take his/her Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) licensure examination with ratings on airframe & powerplant after undergoing the ON THE-JOB TRAINING or O.J.T PROGRAM. Other opportunities of graduate in AMT and with license are aircraft welder, aircraft structural specialist, aircraft painter, hydraulic specialist, propeller specialist and any other specialized job related to Aircraft Maintenance. He/she could either be an Aircrew such as flight engineer or flight mechanic & aircraft load master.

AVIATION ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY

 

AVIATION ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY (AVIONICS TECHNICIAN) this is the technology in electronics in any aerospace vehicles such as airplanes, helicopters and any related spacecraft. These systems are communication, navigation, and control system of the engine, monitoring, detection of weather, anti-collision and sensor device.

 

This is a specialized course which deals in electrical & electronics and provides the learner a special field in electrical & electronics maintenance, repair, inspection and overhaul of aircraft appliances such as radio communication, radar, VOR, navigational instruments, engine electronics control, aircraft engine instruments, aircraft detector, sensor & monitoring device.

 

A graduate of AVIONICS course can take the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) licensure examination after undergoing an actual ON THE-JOB TRAINING or O.J.T PROGRAM in any related electrical & electronics experience such as aircraft radio servicing, installation & testing, maintenance calibration & troubleshooting. If an applicant has successfully passed the CAAP licensure examination, he/she will earn a license in Aviation Maintenance Specialist (AMS) in electronics or aircraft instruments rating.
